Samuel Walsh has exhibited his work in many important open selection exhibitions throughout Ireland. He has been an exhibitor at the Royal Hibernian Academy of Arts Exhibition in Dublin since first showing in 1982 and subsequently in 1984 & 1985, and from 1991 to 2002 and 2004 to the present. He was an invited artist in 2005 and 2008. He has also shown as an invited artist at the RHA's Banquet Show. His work was selected for the Exhibition of Visual Art (EV+A) in Limerick in the 1980s and 1990s, and for the Irish Exhibition of Living Art, Dublinin the same decades. He has shown his work in Íontas, the small works exhibition in Sligo. the Claremorris Open, SADE, Cork and An Oireachtas, Dublin.
